About The Position

PS Seasoning is seeking a self-driven, well-organized Production Lead with prior experience to oversee our daily packaging operations and ensure efficient production processes. This role requires strong decision-making skills, time management, and the ability to communicate effectively with employees to meet deadlines and production goals. You will be responsible for leading and developing your team while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency in our production facility. Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are highly preferred for this position.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Production Lead or in a supervisory production role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical machinery
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Forklift certification and experience required
  • Basic math skills required for measuring and weighing products
  • Proficiency in computer applications for production management
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily packaging schedules and activities to ensure smooth operation of production processes
  • Complete machine set-ups and changeovers, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Schedule and assign employees to workstations based on project needs
  • Communicate directly with workers to monitor progress and ensure deadlines are being met
  • Supervise, train, and develop employees, providing ongoing feedback and support
  • Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and product quality
  • Load materials and products into packaging equipment
  • Measure, weigh, and count products and materials for proper packaging
  • Place or pour products into containers using hand tools or equipment, ensuring proper filling
  • Seal containers with appropriate lids or seals, ensuring product integrity
  • Record product, packaging, and order information accurately on specified forms and records
  • Maintain a safe work environment and participate in the development of safety programs
  • Ensure all products meet customer standards and fulfillment goals
  • Assist in conducting performance reviews for employees
  • Comply with GMP, personal hygiene, HACCP, and other quality and safety programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager
