About The Position

Under the direction of the Plant Manager/ Supervisor, the Production Lead is responsible for overseeing all job functions of the manufacturing dept. Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced. Requirements

  • Must comply with GMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job training.
  • Must have 3-4 years of experience in a packaging or Production environment and at least 3 leading associates.
  • Must be able to read/write English
  • Must be available for overtime when needed
  • Ability to stand/walk for entire shift and lift up to 25lbs
  • Ability to work autonomously and make independent decisions
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and multi-task
  • Ability to work in a physically challenging environment, including bending, twisting, and standing for up to 8 hours is this something you would be comfortable with
  • Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals, and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish).

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and coordinates activities of associates engaged in manufacturing products.
  • Studies Work order to ascertain type and quantity of product, containers to be used, and other manufacturing requirements.
  • Inspects products prior to manufacturing.
  • Trains workers on SOP’s and cGMPs
  • Ensures Safety rules, GMPs and SOPs are being followed
  • Assists with all job functions on the production floor.
  • Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and cGMPs guidelines.
  • Ensure proper lot number and expiration date are applied to labeled product.
  • Fills in for supervisor when out of the facility.
  • Coach and counsel associates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned responsibilities.
