Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of manufacturing experience.
  • Leadership ability. Excellent people skills.
  • Able to read, write and speak in English.
  • Able to set up, operate and clean the equipment in the department.
  • PC familiarity using MS Office and MRP software.

  • Strong math aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Anticipate material requirements from schedule generated by Manager and order stock from material handlers to meet production demands and avoid line stoppage.
  • Assist in line work.
  • Procure production supplies from Manager as needed from locked supply cabinet.
  • Complete daily production reports and other necessary paperwork.
  • Perform duties safely. Report observed safety hazards to Manager.
  • Assist with inventories as needed.
  • Educate department personnel on proper use of equipment, safety requirements, and product quality standards.
  • Coordinate work activities to produce quality finished goods within current manufacturing standards.
  • Ensure materials and labor are utilized effectively and efficiently to achieve optimal production.
  • Maintain a safe, neat, and organized production area.
  • Perform start-up and lock-down walk-through daily.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Be punctual and at work daily.
  • Promotes and maintains positive team morale, by leading with respect, keeping matters confidential and gaining trust and confidence of the team.
