About The Position

The Coffee Production Team is responsible for the sorting, bagging, handling, and packaging of roasted coffee for retail, wholesale, and ecommerce channels. They are expected to understand and uphold the coffee quality control standards, established by the Coffee Roasting Team, at all times. In addition to sorting, bagging, and packing coffee, they will assist in packaging paper goods, retail, and merchandise goods for retail stores and ecommerce.

Requirements

• A firm understanding of G&B/GGET standards and values.
• A willingness to act as a standard bearer for those values.
• Excellent organization skills with a clear, strong ability to prioritize and work efficiently.
• Working knowledge of google and microsoft office suites.
• Ability to use (or willingness to learn) Roaster Tools and other job-specific software.
• A genuine interest in the coffee/restaurant/hospitality industry
• Exposure to production environment, including moderate noise and heat levels.
• Ability to team-lift 70kg bags of coffee to above waist level.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs unassisted.
• Ability to operate a Forklift, pallet jack, handcart, sealer, bagger, roaster.
• Repetitive motion and manipulation of bags, boxes, and machinery
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing.
• Willing to drive a box truck 19' and high roof sprinter or low roof transit for deliveries and pickups
• Willing to operate heavy machinery including multiple roaster models and grinders

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of the coffee production team, including bagging, stamping, and labeling of coffee bags, and shipments.
• Receive new coffee orders and perform general warehouse inventory for incoming and outgoing product inventory and roasted coffee
• Manage retail coffee orders through apps and programs such as -- but not limited to -- Cropster, Shopify and Restaurant365.
• Fulfill coffee orders for retail stores and ecommerce.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
• Drive company vehicles safely and as needed
• Operate coffee roaster, destoner, and roller mill grinder and help with maintenance and general cleanliness
