Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen.

  • Must be able to read a scale.

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical machinery experience preferred.
  • Poultry or food manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Lead experience preferred.
  • Bi-lingual (English / Spanish).

Responsibilities

  • Assist the production Supervisor with ensuring the process is operated in accordance to plant and USDA procedures.
  • Perform all jobs in assigned area of responsibility in accordance to plant POG procedures.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and productivity while performing all assigned tasks.
  • Obtain a pallet jack/forklift driver certification and transport tote or container up to 2000 lbs.
  • Pull and lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly.
  • Walk and stand for long periods of time (up to 3 hours).
  • Communicate with management at all levels and perform any other duties assigned by management.
  • Assist with process set-up, assembly, operation, and post-production activities.
  • Perform pre-flight inspection of assigned area to ensure successful production start-up.
  • Complete HACCP, SSOP, and production-related processing documentation.
  • Update shop floor control boards with accurate performance, safety, and communication information.
  • Verify associates adhere to company GMP policy and procedures.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in assigned area.
  • Assist with effective communication of process changes or deviations.
  • Assist with the administration of job rotation for assigned area.
