About The Position

The position involves overseeing pre-op and/or tear down depending on the shift, coordinating line set-up, and reviewing production issues, schedules, and product specifications. The role requires collaboration with other departments to prevent downtime and lead continuous improvement across the plant. The individual will assign personnel to work stations, provide training, and recommend corrective actions for non-compliance. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role involves interaction with supervisors and line workers. The position also entails maintaining documentation and record-keeping for production, including lot tracking, waste, quality checks, and product usage. The individual must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and production reports. The role is expected to involve cross-training in all lead areas related to production and packaging, with a strong emphasis on safety. The individual will spend 95% of their shift on the floor and must be flexible with their schedule.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; OR three to six months related work experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Manufacturing experience and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write in English; bilingual capability is a plus.
  • Physical ability to lift 40 pounds occasionally and stand or sit for lengthy durations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
