Day Shift Monday - Friday 7:00am-4:00 (Subject to change to shift) Pay rate: Day shift: $20.00 hr Responsibilities: Continuously ensure safety and good manufacturing practices are being followed through the plant and report any nonconformities to shift supervisors. Report on any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions to the Supervisor and Safety Manager. Report any reportable incident or accident to the Supervisor, Safety Manager and the Manufacturing Manager. Safety: Follow all company safety policies. Immediately report any unsafe conditions or acts to shift supervisors or other leaders. Immediately report any property damage to shift supervisors or other leaders. Immediately report any injury, including pain or discomfort (even from home), to the shift supervisor at time of occurrence. PRODUCTION: Audit the production process to make sure that all the team members are complying with their responsibilities and that the defined paperwork is being completed in the proper way (including but not limited to production sheet, materials consumption, material management and reporting, data entry into data collection areas), keep traceability and transparency on the information flow. Set corrective actions and provide feedback when abnormalities are found. Coordinate the resources to ensure a clean workflow on the machine, complying with the defined material consumption requirements (e.g. Proper work-order start up and reporting Proper labeling of produced material, compliance with procedures for changeover etc. Monitor the process to guarantee that the product follows all the necessary checks on the system to ensure traceability. Request technical or any additional support on time when required at the line. Decision maker at the line taking into consideration optimal resources use and quality. Ensure that work areas are always clean and organized Ensure the supersack area is organized, clean, and all supersacks are closed and gaylords covered. Ensure laminate area is organized, clean, and all labels on laminate products are facing outwards Personnel: Coordinate and organize the assigned personnel to ensure availability at the machine. Ensure break time schedule is followed, warnings must be reported to the shift supervisor Supervise and monitor the personnel performance and needs; serving as a guide, providing training and feedback when necessary to guarantee that the right people are running the process. Any corrective action needed must be reported to the shift supervisor. Notify the Supervisor when corrective action needs to be taken with employees to improve performance. Notify the supervisor when employees have violated GMPs or safety rules. Lead and move assigned personnel when and where needed Perform an efficient onboarding process for the new hires. Quality: Make sure that the product that is packed follows all the quality specifications, containing material, or discarding when necessary. Verify the DMT is signed & approved if material is truly bad Report and notify of quality issues within the established timelines in the quality escalation plan. Monitor diligent execution of quality auto-control routines and aid in quality overview of sensitive products and products in development. Logistics: Ensure that the material handlers scan and move skids, supplying materials and rolls on a timely manner Report any potential material shortages and escalate issues to prevent shortages. Eventual Duties : Support the projects undertaken by the organization, where he/she can add value. Participate in the department and management meetings Attend necessary training coordinated by HR where participation is needed Cover the Operator position when necessary Participate in improvement projects as needed Request IT support when issues arise Request maintenance when issues arise Ensures his/her team’s required training is completed Participate in accident investigations, workplace inspections, general observations, or other safety related functions as requested by supervisor or manager. Ensure plant check list is done. Ensure trash collection areas are clean and organized Material moved from and to external warehouses, tracking the process of those movements
