About The Position

REAL ALLOY is the market leader in third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy production. Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, we have 17 plants strategically located across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. We convert aluminum scrap and by-products into reusable aluminum metal for a growing number of applications across various industries. Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• A minimum of one year on a furnace in some capacity.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to function with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to operate powered equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform all production positions, as needed.
• Supports the specified Standard of Work training requirements for new and current employees entering new roles or who may need additional training in current roles.
• Identifying training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses of new and current employees.
• Assist with completion of Skills Confirmation sheets for current employees.
• Follow up training with new and current employees when needed.
• Think outside of the box on ways to improve acclimating new employees and current employees.
• Ability to work with all personalities with patience and understanding.
• Team player with the ability to work under pressure.
• Temporary Supervisor coverage.
