We are looking for a Production Lead to join our Large Format Print team. You’ll be part of a talented group that collaborates to deliver world class products to our customers. In this role, you will direct, control, and track complex assembly and kitting projects from beginning to end while managing line employees and temp workers. You will be responsible for mentoring and coaching employees working in the specific area of responsibility (whether it be bindery, fabricating, cutting, or kitting). The Production Lead trains new and existing employees on the most efficient and effective methods of machine set-up and process flow. You will have the opportunity to learn new equipment first, and as the subject matter expert, will then train and evaluate the work of the other team members. This role will provide feedback to the manager as to how well the team members are learning the necessary skills required of the team roles. This role is a working lead role, and as a result, it will be necessary for the lead to also complete the applicable work on the job ticket and follow and adhere to the specific job requirements. You are also responsible for the last quality check before shipment to TBG/SmartPress customers and is the key liaison with the CSR and managers to ensure the job is completed successfully within the customers’ parameters. Shift available: Sunday through Tuesday OR Wednesday through Friday 6:00 pm- 6:00 am, 36-hour work week, three 12-hour shifts A variety of these traits will help land you this job if you: are able to successfully collaborate with people across several functions within the organization to achieve results, including senior leadership, Sales, Prepress, Cutting, Kitting, Shipping, and other departments. have the ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. can react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and effectively. are able to make proactive design decisions and move forward with projects based on available information; able to think analytically and make a decision from many alternatives. have basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills. experience in supervising/leading a team. have the ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
