About The Position

The Production Laborer at Wells is responsible for producing high-quality concrete products with a focus on safety and efficiency. The role involves working collaboratively with co-workers to ensure optimal quality and timely production. Employees are expected to maintain a safe working environment and participate in Lean Manufacturing objectives to improve departmental efficiencies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Interpersonal communication skills to interact with co-workers, supervisors, and managers
• Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
• General math skills and ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently as needed
• Knowledge of products used by the company and their best applications
• Willingness to accept changes to improve processes

Responsibilities

• Work with co-workers to strip, set-up and pour the bed in a timely manner
• Collaborate with the Quality Control Department to ensure optimal quality
• Take direction from Team Leader and Supervisor
• Be flexible to perform work in any area including Production, Yard, Patching and other areas as needed
• Maintain a safe environment and good housekeeping skills while working
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing objectives and improve efficiencies
• Have knowledge of quality programs and perform quality work
• Come to work with a good attitude and fulfill job requirements
• Maintain a professional relationship with employees in the plant and office
• Support company policies and maintain a positive attitude while working
