The Production Lab Technician is expected to contribute both individually and as a team member-providing support to all team members and ensuring responsibilities are completed within production timelines. Operates production equipment for processing cell/sexing technology. Performs daily tasks as defined by production needs. Assists the Lab Lead with day-to-day operations of the laboratory. This includes training and ensuring that production objectives are accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner. Operates production equipment for most/all processed in cell/sexing technology. Trains junior team members in the lab. Perform daily tasks as defined by production needs. Be proficient in most or all lab processes. This position is on 1st Shift and starting pay is $21.00/hr.

  • Follow SOP and maintain lab documentation
  • Provide accurate, timely and quality packaging of bovine semen in accordance with ABS standards.
  • Learn other ancillary processes throughout the production lab as business needs necessitate.
  • Adhere to proper cleaning, sanitation and sterilization protocols for all processing and collection equipment.
  • Provide ideas for improvement in the work environment.
  • Communicate issues to appropriate personnel (leads, supervisors, manager, support group.
  • Perform all assigned duties based on daily production needs.
  • Follow safe work procedures and report any incidences.
  • Perform other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Must possess High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to list/transfer 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on always maintaining the highest level of quality.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills.
  • Ability to utilize a computer, keyboard, and mouse to accomplish work tasks (includes but is not limited to the ability to look at computer monitor screens for the entirety of assigned shift).
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Experience within a production laboratory setting is preferred.
