About The Position

Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. Trident is a privately held, 100 percent USA-owned company with primary seafood processing operations and fleet support in twelve Alaska communities. Trident's global operations produce finished wild Alaska seafood products in 6 countries and its sales teams serve customers in over 50 countries. Species harvested and processed by Trident include virtually every commercial species of salmon, whitefish, and crab harvested in the North Pacific and Alaska. The global supply chain also includes cultured and wild species from a network of trusted sources worldwide. This position is a skilled Production Seafood Processor across two or more lines of production.

Requirements

  • Must be a current Trident Seafoods employee or have worked for Trident Seafoods before.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in food processing, seafood processing, or a related field.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to handle and process seafood efficiently.
  • Basic math skills to accurately weigh and measure seafood products.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Strong hygiene practices and knowledge of food safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production quotas while maintaining quality standards.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Nice To Haves

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • May perform tasks such as forklift driver, crane operator, fish grader, driver, scanner, truck driver.

Responsibilities

  • Assists lead in performing essential functions of two or more lines of production.
  • May assist with on-the-line training of new hire processors.
  • Clean, sort, and prepare various types of seafood for processing, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Remove shells, scales, bones, and other unwanted parts from seafood products using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including equipment, processing tools, and storage areas.
  • Follow proper handling and storage procedures to prevent contamination and maintain product freshness.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals, working in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and industry standards to ensure the production of safe and high-quality seafood products.
  • Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
