About The Position

The Production Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the production area during the third shift. This includes cleaning floors, dumping trash carts, and moving barrels of waste. The janitor must be able to clean a line with chemicals in the event of contamination or changeovers.

Requirements

• Prefer High School Diploma/GED.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable and self-driven with minimum supervision.
• Palletjack Certification.

Responsibilities

• Cleans floors and dumps trash carts.
• Moves barrels of waste from the production area.
• Uses a squeegee to scrape up scrap when product falls on the floor.
• Shovels scrap into barrels.
• Removes barrels from the area when half to ¾ full by loading them onto a skid.
• Tracks and records accurate waste weights.
• Uses a palletjack to move skids with barrels to the slop area for sanitation.
• Takes out trash carts full of empty boxes, plastic, or other items and disposes of them appropriately.
• Willing to be trained on how to use and mix different chemicals for cleaning.
• Assists with training backup personnel.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
