About The Position

The Production Worker for the 3rd Shift at Baldinger Bakeries in St. Paul, MN is responsible for the set-up and operation of all packaging equipment, ensuring the quality of the products being shipped. This role encompasses all packaging line positions within the plant and includes performing packaging, sanitation, and shipping functions, including forklift operation. The working hours are from 9:15 PM to 5:30 AM, Sunday to Thursday.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent experience and/or training.
• Ability to perform basic math and computation skills.
• Possess verbal and written communication skills.
• Forklift experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor packaging line for maintenance, sanitation, packaging needs and/or deviations making adjustments as necessary.
• Report mechanical problems to maintenance.
• Recognize, report, and, if necessary, hold non-conforming or inferior products including proper slicing.
• Set up packers for all products.
• Change packaging film, colored bands, and thermal ribbons.
• Pull broken trays and/or foreign matter from the line.
• Run the tray washer.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, Personal Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, and SQF Rules.
