About The Position

The Production Helper at Presrite Corporation plays a crucial role in assisting the production crew with the forging of steel billets into finished parts within a 24-hour production environment. This position emphasizes maintaining quality standards and safe work practices to ensure efficient production operations. The helper collaborates closely with machine operators, supervisors, and quality control personnel in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Ability to move equipment and materials weighing up to 80 pounds periodically.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and work with others in a team environment.
• Frequently ascend/descend stairs and work platforms.
• Ability to operate hand tools as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in startup and preheating of furnaces and regulate temperatures.
• Watch billet feed into induction furnace to assure no interruptions in production.
• May hand load billets when necessary.
• Obtain tools, fixtures, dies, etc., and handle materials incidental to production operation.
• Assist crew by acting as Spray Operator during forging operation when necessary.
• Attend all required training classes (e.g., safety, equipment, job, etc.).
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor and/or Lead Person.
• Report to Operator in regards to crew performance.
