Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent and/or previous manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Keep work area neat and clean.
  • Active part of FXI Safety Program.
  • Follow appropriate Safe Work Practices, safety glasses or goggles, hazard communications, forklift certification, gloves.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience operating machinery is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all applicable safety/housekeeping guidelines.
  • Responsible for departmental safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Read and follow all Standard Operating Procedures and work orders.
  • Reviews daily production utilizing computer manufacturing software and determines associate work assignments.
  • Maintain accurate serial number log as required.
  • Utilize computer manufacturing software to report daily production, retrieve Bill of Material (BOM) and check inventory levels for production.
  • Responsible for coordinating with engineering and quality on pilot runs, BOM audits, pilot completion paperwork and training records.
  • Communicate with Engineering on discrepancies or questions.
  • Participates in routine departmental meetings as needed.
  • Take monthly cycle counts and inventory as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Read, Understand and be trained on all related standard operating procedure and work instructions to perform tasks successfully and meet customer and QMS requirements.
  • For specific quality expectations for this position, reference related SOP’s and work instructions
  • Be qualified to use appropriate measurement device(s) such as ruler, caliper, tape measure, to verify product acceptance and proper machine operation.
  • Constant visual inspection of materials and product to ensure acceptance
  • Set aside any material or product that does not meet specification for disposition by appropriate personnel (supervisor, quality representative)
