About The Position

Redbarn Pet Products is seeking individuals to manually prepare and package products in the Bone Fill and Packaging & Variety Room departments. The role involves various tasks such as filling products, cleaning, packing, and performing general housekeeping duties. This position does not require prior experience or training, making it accessible for those looking to start a career in the pet food industry.

Requirements

• No prior experience or training required.
• Ability to read simple words and recognize similarities/differences in words and numbers.
• Ability to write and speak simple sentences.
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide with two-digit numbers and multiples of 10 and 100.
• Ability to apply common sense to follow simple one- or two-step instructions and handle routine situations.

Responsibilities

• Remove product from boxes and place on trays on the cold table.
• Fill product using a filling nozzle and slide trays onto conveyor belt through the cold oven.
• Collect product from conveyor belt and clean each piece.
• Remove hardened filling with a spatula as needed.
• Assemble boxes and prepare pallets.
• Sort and obtain products.
• Clean product as necessary.
• Place products into wrapping machines.
• Inspect shrink-wrapped products for damage.
• Apply date stamps and labels to boxes.
• Count finished products, pack boxes, and place them on pallets.
• Perform general housekeeping (sweeping, mopping work areas).
