About The Position

The Production Group Leader - Welding is responsible for training and leading team members on assigned projects while managing daily maintenance activities. This role focuses on achieving production goals, ensuring safety and quality standards, and providing effective leadership within the manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
• 1 to 2 years in a related leadership or supervisory role.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
• Experience with SAP system preferred.
• Knowledge of assembly shop processes and tool technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead project activities and manage line/group activities related to safety, quality, efficiency, cost, and people.
• Achieve daily production plans and adjust daily production schedules as necessary.
• Study downtime data and ensure accurate recording of downtime.
• Prepare for production through tool purchasing plans, cleaning plans, and subsidiary material purchasing plans.
• Monitor shop flow and enforce team members' work standards.
• Check and improve quality issues during production.
• Provide and implement quick solutions to reduce downtime.
• Enforce safety rules and regulations within the team.
• Develop and carry out new model launch programs.
• Train team members on audit issues and prepare necessary presentations and reports.
