About The Position

Would you like to apply your skills in an innovative production facility? If so, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Grinder! This position will be based out of our Extrusion plant located in Kingman, AZ. Reporting to Shift Supervisor, the successful candidate will operate grinding system as well as other systems as required.

Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age plus completion of high school education or equivalent.
• Demonstrated competence on various grinding systems, particularly systems 1 and 2.
• Proven ability to follow safety procedures and policies.
• Good understanding of products/materials characteristics, packaging requirements, and production schedule.
• Competency to operate power hand tools, such as sawall, reciprocating saw, and drills.
• Ability to perform moderate physical tasks including lifting objects and maintaining visual attentiveness.
• Possess a forklift certificate and be able to operate a forklift.
• Ability to train others in performing tasks as asked by Management.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment through training, adherence to policies and housekeeping.
• Operate Grinding system 1 and 2 as well as other systems as required.
• Convey material to and from the grinding and pulverizing equipment to maintain efficient operation.
• Identify various products used in the manufacturing process to segregate scrap by types.
• Report in writing the type and quantity of material being ground.
• Achieve predetermined rates established for grinding and pulverizing.
• Demonstrate competence on various grinding systems, particularly systems 1 and 2.
• Follow safety procedures and policies.
• Understand products/materials characteristics, packaging requirements, and production schedule.
• Operate power hand tools, such as sawall, reciprocating saw, and drills.
• Perform moderate physical tasks including lifting objects and maintaining visual attentiveness.
• Possess a forklift certificate and operate a forklift within the plant and yard.
• Train others in performing tasks as asked by Management.
• Complete accurate documentation and quality requirements.
• Perform other duties as delegated.
