About The Position
We are immediately hiring a Production General Manager in Wilmer, TX for our Supply Chain Solutions division. This role is pivotal in managing the overall financial, operational, and employee aspects of multiple accounts. The Production General Manager is responsible for the profitable retention and growth of business within their span of control, ensuring that financial, employee, safety, and customer satisfaction goals are met. This position requires a strong focus on goal setting, skills assessment, career development, and performance evaluation, along with ongoing employee feedback and disciplinary actions when necessary. The manager will also be responsible for developing both direct and indirect reports, ensuring that staffing levels are maintained to avoid unnecessary use of outside labor, and creating location processes to enhance operational efficiency. In addition to operational responsibilities, the Production General Manager will play a key role in customer satisfaction and problem resolution, reviewing KPI tracking and improvement initiatives. The manager will work to improve employee retention, reduce accidents, and ensure that unnecessary overtime is minimized. They will also conduct ongoing self-audits of location processes and individual accountabilities, ensuring compliance with financial reporting and revenue recognition procedures. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of service and operational excellence within the organization, contributing to the overall success of Ryder's Supply Chain Solutions division.
