About The Position

The Production Forklift Driver position at Pactiv Evergreen involves operating forklifts to move products within a manufacturing environment. Requirements

• Ability to operate a forklift in a production environment
• Understanding of safety policies and procedures
• Ability to read and understand production schedules
• Physical capability to perform tasks such as climbing, lifting, and looking up

• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Familiarity with operating PIT equipment

Responsibilities

• Moving pallets of product containing printed cartons
• Weighing waste pallets and reporting on waste
• Banding waste and running shrink wrapper
• Banding and crushing cores in a core bailer
• Unloading corrugated trailers
• Operating powered industrial trucks (PIT) in a congested production environment
• Adhering to all safety policies and procedures
• Reading and understanding schedules to ensure each shift is stocked with product
• Climbing off and on forklift (height of 3 feet)
• Looking over shoulder to right and left while reversing or driving backwards with load
• Sitting on forklift for 8 to 12 hours
• Changing battery (max. 3116 lbs) using hoist
• Looking up to 45 degrees tilting neck back when pulling orders and putting pallet in racks
