About The Position

Manufacturing Production Workers focus on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production (i.e., machining, processing, assembly, or packaging) equipment including: Operating machine tool, chemical processing, assembly, or packaging equipment to manufacture products according to production specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards. Moving, packing, and sorting raw materials or finished goods. Monitoring the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products. Maintaining accurate daily production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree may be considered in lieu of some experience.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well with a diverse group of people in a matrixed organization.
  • Must be able to flex schedule if needed.
  • Proficient computer skills required.
  • Experience with Microsoft preferred (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook).
  • Must be able to wear required PPE for work area.
  • Must be able to obtain TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card to access work location).

  • Machine operation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment, such as cabling, extrusion, armoring, braiding, and SFL assembly.
  • Understanding and enforcing daily compliance with Level 2, Level 3 and JSEA documents related to each production task.
  • Reviewing and verifying operator competencies against standard work instructions.
  • Holding all team members accountable.
  • Conducting toolbox talks, CORA talks related to High Hazard tasks.
  • Leading risk reviews and verifying action status.
  • Aligning production team with plant wide goals related to safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Providing clear task instructions and defining expectations.
  • Working directly with supervisors on shift layout and daily task assignments for the team.
  • Coordinating equipment issues and repairs with maintenance department.
  • Knowledgeable of weekly manufacturing plans and production schedules.
  • Delivering constructive feedback and mentoring without escalation.
  • Learning to use future digitalization systems to effectively manage work related tasks.
  • Ensuring that all involved in the project are kept informed on any issues or challenges identified.
  • Working closely with line operators, manufacturing engineers, QC department, and maintenance teams on continuous improvement.
