Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field; or A.A. Degree plus four years of directly related experience preferred.
  • Four plus years of direct foodservice operational management experience with background in fresh, prepared, and ready-to-eat foods.
  • Excellent knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation a plus.
  • Experience with P&L accountability is highly desirable.
  • Ability to communicate on various levels to include management, client and associate levels.
  • Knowledge of financial, budgetary, accounting and computational practices.
  • Proficient computer skills to include various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, e-mail and the Internet.
  • ServSafe® certified is preferred.
  • Managerial staff are required to work 8-10 hours per day, based on business needs.
  • The ability to work in refrigerated or cold environments (34-40°F).
  • Must be able to push, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Experienced in all aspects of food service management with a proven record of success.
  • Takes ownership of operations, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Manages financials including budgeting, planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Build positive relationships with associates, clients, and customers.
  • Ensures compliance with meal requirements, standardized recipes, and portion control.
  • Oversees food preparation, storage, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Hires, trains, and develops staff to meet operational goals.
  • Monitors inventory, investigates discrepancies, and verifies food safety records.
  • Coordinates with department managers and the Director of Operations on daily production.
  • Participate in management and quality meetings to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensures equipment maintenance, proper labeling, and adherence to all policies and regulations.
