About The Position

This position will support our Production Department by fabricating components, tubing, and sheet metal used in the manufacture of specialty gas delivery systems. In addition to being able to read and understand drawings and job travelers, the applicant must also have experience with precision measuring tools and basic math, mechanical assembly, power tools, hand tools, and have good manual dexterity. The hours for this position are 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday-Friday.

Requirements

• Must have good vision and dexterity
• Must be able to stand, bend, twist, and sit throughout the day for extended periods of time
• Be able to follow protocols and direction thoroughly and repetitively
• 1-2 years' experience in a production, assembly, or manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with the operation of common manufacturing tools and equipment
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Quality/detail oriented with the ability to achieve repeatable results
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Strong appreciation for time management, priorities, and deadlines

Responsibilities

• Read project drawings, work orders, and procedures
• Layout, drill, tap, or punch holes in sheet metal enclosure units
• Cut stainless steel tubing to length using an automatic saw
• Face stainless steel tubing to length using a tube facing tool
• Bend stainless steel tubing to drawing spec using hand tube benders
• Position, align, and adjust components for proper fit & function
• Fabricate tubing and sheet metal to tight tolerances using calipers or other precision measuring tools
• Complete production paperwork and recordkeeping
• Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area
• Follow company policy and production safety procedures
