Troubleshoots, diagnoses malfunctions, calibrates, adjust, replaces and repairs integrated electrical, electronic controls for electromechanical, electro-hydraulic and related pneumatic components and system as found in the various types of computer and programmable controls units on process-controlled fabrication and assembly equipment to maintain operating efficiency and to also maintain, install and repair electric and electronic power circuits and components within industrial equipment and maintain and repair furnaces, ovens, and environmental chambers. Starting Wage: $48.46 2nd Shift: 2:30pm – 11pm- Andover, Massachusetts. This is an onsite role

Requirements

  • An Associate’s Degree in electronics or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Works from circuit diagrams, schematics, sketches, manufacturing manual, background knowledge of equipment and verbal instructions.
  • Uses above equipment to troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions and to calibrate equipment systems such as computers involving memory units, coding and decoding circuits, digital binary and analog elements of automatic tape-controlled fabrication and assembly equipment and electronic welding units.
  • Diagnoses, with others as necessary, failures of all tyles in integrated control systems and determines malfunction effects on entire system.
  • Improvises, installs and tests for accuracy emergency networks to simulate original operating characteristics to maintain equipment in operating use.
  • Isolates electrical or electronic malfunctions to the correct circuit, network, unit or component.
  • Interprets and evaluates charts from automatic recorders to establish proper machine functions.
  • Installs, wires and maintains thermostats and timing controls and performs all other wiring internal to switch box.
  • Maintains all communications equipment such as PA systems and intercoms, except the telephone.
  • Maintains records, moves materials and follows safety rules in performance of duties.
