Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Engineering Intern to join our team for a rotational internship for the Summer of 2026. This unique program provides exposure to multiple aspects of manufacturing operations, including Engineering, Safety, Quality, and Maintenance. The intern will gain hands-on experience in process improvement, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to support operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and analytical skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct time studies and process observations to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Assist with developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support continuous improvement and project management initiatives, coordinating tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with engineering, safety, quality, and maintenance teams to learn best practices and contribute to ongoing projects.
  • Perform data collection and analysis to drive productivity and process enhancements.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving activities.
  • Support ERP system management and gain exposure to production scheduling, inventory, and work order processes.
  • Prepare and present reports, findings, and recommendations to supervisors and leadership teams.
  • Other duties as assigned
