The Production Engineering Intern (Formation) will support production processes by analyzing defects, performing root cause analysis, and assisting in process improvement initiatives. This role involves monitoring product quality, supporting maintenance and preventative procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The intern will collaborate with international teams, communicate effectively across diverse workgroups, and assist with KPI reporting and documentation. Additionally, the position offers hands-on exposure to production engineering practices and operational workflows within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Completion of at least two years of full-time enrollment (minimum 12 credit hours per semester) in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering or equivalent.
• Must be currently enrolled as a fulltime student at an accredited four-year college or university.
• GPA of 3.2 or higher.
• Basic knowledge of project management processes and tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to write and communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
• Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor processes and perform continuous inspections and visual quality checks to ensure products meet acceptance standards.
• Analyze production defects, assist in root cause analysis, and support process improvement projects.
• Use material bar code scanners and apply FIFO principles to manage materials effectively.
• Assist Maintenance Technicians with preventative maintenance procedures.
• Read and diagnose equipment error codes to support troubleshooting efforts.
• Adapt to multiple production processes as assigned by management.
• Prepare and maintain required documentation, including SOP adherence and safety data sheets (SDS).
• Follow work instructions, SOPs, and maintain a clean and safe work environment using 5S principles.
• Work with international teams, including language translation when required.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, both verbally and in writing, and support quality department initiatives.
