REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Production Engineer – Production Engineering Department (G34) in Winston-Salem, NC. In this role, you will support plant performance by resolving machinery-related quality losses, driving waste-reduction initiatives, and supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to enhance equipment reliability, improve safety, and ensure effective reapplication of technical solutions across the manufacturing facility.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
Experience managing technical challenges and optimizing machinery in a manufacturing environment.
Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on waste minimization and continuous improvement.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and knowledge of safety standards for industrial equipment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a highly engaged, adaptable approach to change.

2+ years of experience in a supervisory manufacturing role.

Responsibilities

Resolving plant-level quality issues related to machinery, equipment, and production processes.
Supporting NPI initiatives by conducting technical risk assessments and overseeing machinery-related trial activities.
Optimizing machine performance, partnering with maintenance to reduce downtime and implement equipment modifications.
Leading waste-reduction actions by analyzing data, identifying improvement opportunities, and applying best practices across operations.
Ensuring safety and compliance through technical evaluations and risk assessments of manufacturing equipment.
