About The Position

As a Production Engineer at the Savannah site, you will play a key role in driving operational efficiency and sustainability by collaborating with operators, technical engineering services, and EHS specialists to ensure smooth, safe, and compliant plant operations. Additionally, you will work closely with plant management to align production goals with EVR business objectives, contributing to strategic planning and implementing solutions that enhance process reliability and adaptability. Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred); or other engineering disciplines.
  • Bring at least 2 years of experience in chemical plant operations.
  • Demonstrate the capability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical, operational, and financial data to develop effective solutions.
  • Showcase excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Maintain solid computer proficiency; familiarity with SAP is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Offer experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Using continuous improvement approaches (Operational Excellence, Lean Six Sigma) to ensure reliable operations and optimize cost, quality, and safety.
  • Partnering with Operations to maintain safe and efficient operation of assets.
  • Identifying and leading projects to debottleneck and improve equipment and processes.
  • Providing troubleshooting support for equipment to ensure consistent production performance.
  • Supporting capital project planning and execution, including scope development, safety reviews, commissioning, and start-up, while acting as the manufacturing representative when needed.
  • Understanding control systems and automation for assigned equipment to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Providing technical guidance and facilitating root cause analysis for investigations.
  • Supporting hazard assessments, Management of Change, RC EHS audit preparation, and managing action items.
