We are hiring a Production Engineer III – NPI who will play a key role in managing New Product Introduction activities, ensuring that manufacturing methods and processes are optimized from project initiation through production launch. This position is instrumental in collaborating with R&D NPI project teams to design products and processes that meet or exceed tollgate productivity and first-pass yield targets at launch. Within our team, we are committed to delivering high-quality products on time, leveraging the Veralto Enterprise System tools to solve problems and continuously improve our processes.

Requirements

  • B.S. or equivalent in related Engineering or Technology degree; minimum of 3 years’ equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in related manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with design change processes (ECO/DCO).
  • Excellent communication, change management, problem solving, and time management skills required.
  • Strong working knowledge of lean manufacturing basics required.
  • Proven experience leading technical projects.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
  • CAD (2D/3D) experience.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by developing manufacturing process solutions that enhance quality, delivery, and cost efficiency, while minimizing downtime and rework caused by quality or obsolescence issues.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges by identifying root causes and implementing both short-term fixes and long-term corrective actions.
  • Design and integrate poka-yoke methods and fixtures into manufacturing processes to strengthen quality and delivery performance.
  • Collaborate with product design teams to ensure lean manufacturing principles and design-for-manufacturability are applied throughout all phases of New Product Introduction.
  • Develop structured action plans to secure on-time project completion.
  • Create and update manufacturing work instructions, while validating processes and equipment to ensure reliability.
  • Train and mentor production engineers on key deliverables such as PFMEA, work instructions, cell design, machine setup, and qualification protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ).
  • Initiate engineering change orders and documentation updates in compliance with corporate quality standards, coordinating changes across planning, purchasing, supplier quality, development, regulatory, and manufacturing functions.
  • Ensure adherence to company, industry, and regulatory standards in all manufacturing processes and deliverables.
