You will gain experience at every phase of the spacecraft program including design, analysis, manufacturing, test, and flight. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, electrical engineering or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience for a level II or 4+ years of experience for a level III
  • Experience with PLM, MES, configuration and data management controls and systems.
  • Experience working to AS9100 process and standards.
  • Experience with working hands-on-hardware and fabrication methods
  • Experience building and producing classified hardware in SCIF’s or SAP facilities.
  • Clearance — Ability to maintain or obtain TS/SCI clearance.
  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

  • Experience building space hardware including, but not limited to, fluid systems, structures, harnessing, or PCBAs

Responsibilities

  • Generate work instructions for mechanical and electrical assemblies
  • Supporting production operations as needed to ensure workflow stays uninterrupted.
  • Generate NCR’s (non-compliance reports), support investigation through resolution, and own the execution of dispositions.
  • Manage calibration and certification of mechanical and electrical GSE (ground support equipment).
  • Provide technical and engineering assistance to team of technicians.
  • Complete process improvements and corrective actions to increase efficiency of production.
  • Provide manufacturing expertise to design engineering and contribute to documentation such as drawings, SOPs (standard operating procedures), etc.
  • Create spacecraft assembly kits for rapid production.
