We are making a positive impact and we want you to be a part of it! www.lgeshonda.com Summary: The Production Engineer I will support the manufacturing and production plan, ensure the safety of the workplace, optimize processes & maximize manufacturing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and support line capacities through cycle time and downtime reduction activities.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent related experience
0 to 3+ years of experience in manufacturing related job or equivalent relevant experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Positive attitude, open minded, and team player
Strong self-motivation and desire to work in a manufacturing environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and solve complex problems
Strong technical analysis and troubleshooting skills
Ability to manage projects and schedules
Comply with company Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
Able to work in both office and manufacturing environments
Hands-on support of equipment
Prompt and regular attendance within our onsite operations
Flexibility to work adjusted shifts as necessary
This role requires up to 20% of travel (domestic and/or international)

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing co-op experience preferred but not required
Battery production related knowledge preferred but not required
CAD Software (AutoCad, Solidworks, Catia, etc.) experience preferred but not required
Korean language proficiency a plus

Responsibilities

Effectively communicate to all levels of the organization to ensure common understanding and direction
Review and analyze daily reports to identify safety, quality & delivery gaps, and develop potential countermeasures, striving for continuous improvement
Utilize data analysis and Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) to lead, support, develop and justify solutions with related groups/departments to solve complex problems
Monitor and manage equipment and processes to ensure optimal manufacturing performance and function, while minimizing operating expenses
Develop capability of self and team through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiences in area of technical expertise and understanding
Establish priorities and make decisions based on data analytics to effectively accomplish business objectives
Manage project implementation, schedule, budget and resource allocations to ensure successful completion
Test, evaluate, and implement new and innovative technologies to improve overall equipment and process efficiency
Develop and manage investment and expense budgets to achieve overall cost target
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Maintain cleanliness at worksite in accordance with 5S3R Standards: o Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain o Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
Perform other duties as assigned
