About The Position
Engaged Media Studios, Inc. is seeking a Production Director for its Mixed Reality Capture Studio (MRCS) located in Houston, Texas. This full-time, on-site position is pivotal in driving the creative direction and ensuring the successful delivery of production shoots on the volumetric capture stage, as well as at remote locations. The Production Director will work closely with clients and the MRCS production team to coordinate and execute mixed reality capture sessions, ensuring that all production requirements are met with precision and creativity. The role involves coordinating stage demonstrations and pre-production tests to validate the capabilities of volumetric capture and virtual production technology. The Production Director will lead the internal and external development teams in providing AR/VR and Mixed Reality creative, design, and development services for clients. This includes developing and owning the volumetric capture services and product line, prioritizing its roadmap, and effectively communicating it to the team. The position requires a strong emphasis on collaboration, as the Production Director will serve as a bridge between leadership and engineering, ensuring that client needs are met and that the MRCS continues to grow and innovate. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Film, Computer Animation, VFX, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in motion capture, virtual and mixed reality production, VFX, or animated film production. A proven track record of delivering high-quality virtual reality and VFX for Film and/or TV projects is essential, as is experience in coordinating Film and/or TV virtual productions and interacting with clients on set. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of visual effects asset and shot production pipelines, as well as direct experience with game engine virtual production technology. The role demands excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to execute technically challenging work under pressure.
