About The Position

The Extrusion Crew Member plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process by working closely with the Operator Team Leader and other crew members to ensure the production and quality of various components. This position involves operating and monitoring equipment, adhering to safety and quality standards, and performing necessary tasks to maintain efficient production. The role requires problem-solving skills and the ability to follow both written and oral instructions while working in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum Work Keys Score of SILVER.
• 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to lead and foster teamwork.
• Ability to read and understand specifications and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Knowledge of computers.
• Experience preferred using powered industrial vehicles (PIV).
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, assist, and cooperate with the Processing Operator and other crew members to ensure correct set-ups and produce a quality product.
• Use and monitor on and offline quality systems to ensure components meet specified quality standards.
• Efficiently utilize equipment while meeting customer requirements, following both oral and written instructions.
• State, read, and react to Machine Set-Up Specs (MSS).
• Responsible for checking transporting supplies and utilities services needed for Extrusion/Calendar processes.
• Follow required SOPs and WI while performing necessary tasks to obtain quality and quantity production, adhering to plant safety and environmental policies.
• Apply problem-solving skills in the event of machine problems.
• Read specifications, use hand tools, and gauging devices to monitor product quality.
• Accurately indicate time on time sheets or electronically according to operation number, rates, and units cured.
