About The Position

AKJ Chemicals is looking for an internal candidate with Contractor Certified Person Endorsement for our Production Lead vacancy. Production Leads must be self-directed, and safety focused. AKJ Production Lead will manage a crew of Production Technicians (PTs) across the north mines and Narm on a rotational schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example, adhering to all safety rules and procedures.
• Conduct Safety Inspections and reports using iAuditor.
• Report safety concerns and incidents immediately.
• Complete training on all Narm and North sites and systems if not already trained.
• Coordinate train lineups and shift changes, ensuring PTs are informed and assigned appropriately.
• Maintain communication with PTs, mine personnel, and Watco about train loading.
• Document production technicians shift times and locations.
• Report beginning-of-shift and end-of-shift tank levels and complete shift reports.
• Ensure coverage for callouts and perform housekeeping duties.
• Travel between mine sites for inspections and personnel check-ins.
• Assist in troubleshooting maintenance issues.
• Report maintenance issues and create action items in iAuditor.
• Evaluate production technicians’ performance, provide feedback, and conduct quarterly assessments.
• Train new PTs and complete Site-Specific Training Sheets.
• Communicate effectively with management and resolve conflicts proactively.
• Communicate effectively with Safety and Training Supervisor
