About The Position

The part-time Sports Production Coordinator at TEGNA is responsible for supporting live sports programming and affiliate stations. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and excellent customer service skills, as well as strong technical expertise in broadcast television and live production. The position is temporary and expected to last through April 2025, with a hybrid work schedule at the KUSA Denver station.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in live production coordination, with a focus on live sporting events.
• Possess a strong background in sports production.
• Strong technical background in broadcast television and live production.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strategic problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
• Exceptional customer service mindset, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a high level of attention to detail throughout all stages of event production and distribution.
• Provides excellent customer service to internal and external partners, addressing their needs and concerns in a timely manner.
• Utilizes strong technical expertise in broadcast television and live production to troubleshoot issues rapidly.
• Frequently works nights and weekends to manage technical live event support and affiliate coordination.
