About the position
Ceres is looking for a Production Coordinator who is responsible for effectively and efficiently performing a variety of functions related to: inventory control, production, purchase order administration, expense/invoice reconciliation, parts quality inspection and discrepancy resolution, and service call administration.
Responsibilities
- Opens, updates, and closes production orders.
- Reviews and analyzes parts availability for fabrication and orders parts as needed.
- Creates production travelers and progresses them through the process.
- Understands and manages inventory control system functions and parameters, including training, educating, troubleshooting, creating how-to guidelines, identifying needs, and recommending updates to the system.
- Investigate all back orders with all vendors as needed.
- Reviews and analyzes various inventory-related reports, including stock order, non-stock/made stock, replaced parts, shipping/return exceptions, unadjusted demand, and daily returns reports.
- Distributes reports to appropriate personnel.
- Compares inventories to system records and resolves discrepancies.
- Analyzes existing procedures and develops new processes to ensure the most efficient execution of duties assigned.
- Acts as point of contact for inventory-related questions identifying, researching and resolving problems, errors and discrepancies.
