SUMMARY: Perform various duties to support the manufacturing of components and assemblies in accordance with the production schedule.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret detailed instructions and procedures (blueprints, route sheets, sales orders, etc.).
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Basic Microsoft skills, Excel preferred.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands required to perform the essentials of the job (i.e., lift up to 50 lbs., move cylinders via cranes, hoists and/or powered industrial vehicles).
  • Must be able to be trained to operate PIVs (pallet jack, walk behind, high bay, forklift, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • At the direction of lead operators/supervisors, provide material to assemblers for scheduled work orders.
  • Receive and put away material in warehouse.
  • Notify lead operators/supervisors of any material shortages, equipment problems, etc.
  • Move completed orders to finished goods warehouse.
  • Replenish components in warehouse.
  • Assist with offload deliveries.
  • Pull tools due for calibration and deliver to calibration lab.
  • Collect and dispose of green strapping waste, metal waste and broken skids.
  • Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to lead operator/supervisor.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain quality standards.
  • Perform other related duties as required or directed.
