Medina, OH Plant is interviewing for a Quilting Production Coordinator which will be paid an additional $1.00/hour to Current Classification Rate. As a Production Coordinator, you will help ensure efficient production flow within a department. Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating production activities, providing training assistance to new and existing employees, and assisting in maintaining smooth operations to meet production targets. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong organizational skills, and has a passion for optimizing production processes.

Requirements

  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for a minimum 8 hours or more per shift.
  • Frequent walking, squatting, turning, twisting, pushing, bending, etc. in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent attendance—must be reliable and punctual.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and occasional Saturdays.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate: Help coordinate production activities within the department, ensuring timely completion of tasks, and maintaining an efficient production flow.
  • Train: Provide training assistance to new and existing employees to ensure a smooth onboarding process and proper understanding of production procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate: Monitor and track production progress, identifying bottlenecks or issues that may impact production schedules or quality standards. Collaborate with relevant teams to address and resolve any obstacles.
  • Inform: Keep supervisor informed of maintenance needs or other issues in the department.
  • Assist: Temporarily assist in positions vacated by absence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Note: Production Coordinators do not discipline employees, conduct start-up meetings, instruct employees when to start or end their shift, or provide specific directives to employees.
