About The Position

MAIN STREET PLANT JOB DESCRIPTION Title: Production Line Lead Minimum Job Requirements: High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment with direct production responsibilities. Must have working knowledge of production equipment and machinery. Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English. Must have good oral and written communication skills. Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of weights and measures including fractions and decimals. Must be able to read and understand equipment manuals and aid/instruction to hourly associates. Must demonstrate good attendance. Frequent lifting of 35 lbs and occasional lifting of 50 pounds is required. Must have the ability to walk, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, push, pull, reach overhead and grasp with fingers. Ability to hear machine sounds during normal operations – alarms, bells, tones, whistles etc. to detect jams, changes in speed and other routine running conditions. Ability to work on all shifts . Ability to work up to twelve (12) hour shifts to satisfy business needs. Ability to work extended hours and/or overtime as required. Must be able to follow standard operating procedures required by TCCC Quality System. Must be able to work in a team environment. Summary: Ensure compliance with TCCC Quality Systems standards. Perform all job tasks in a safe manner to ensure achieving Quality, Service and Cost objectives. Oversee daily operations including blow molding, labeling, filling, and all downstream packaging operations. Comply with all standard operating procedures and requirements. Essential Duties: Coordinate daily staffing needs and shift assignments with supervisor. Ensure that machinery and equipment is in good working order and safe to operate. Enforce LOTO rules and procedures. Verify the readiness of the production line at start-up. Oversee the change-over process and ensure all change-parts have been installed correctly. Check the Production Order Number and verify that all codes have been set-up correctly. Monitor daily production routines, ensure compliance with SOP’s and regulatory standards. Make periodic checks and adjustments to equipment or work practices as needed. Maintain high standards for first pass quality and safety. Recognize material and/or product defects. Take corrective action when necessary. Train, evaluate, and develop team members (specifically PLE’s and Filler Operators). Use analytical trouble-shooting skills to identify root cause of production-related problems. Maintain equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with all GMP standards. Work directly with maintenance personnel, other line personnel and management to solve reoccurring problems and ensure maximum production efficiencies. Review daily production records as needed to ensure accuracy and completeness. Ensure all paperwork is turned in at the end of the shift. Lead by Example (Walk-the-Talk), demonstrate compliance with all Company Rules, Policies, Procedures, Guidelines, and Practices. Assist Supervisor with enforcement of company rules, policies, and procedures. Perform any other duty as assigned by your supervisor/manager. Working Conditions: Work is performed in high-speed bottling and production environment. Work requires exposure to all temperature changes, high noise levels, working around moving equipment, tanks, heights, wet conditions, fumes, vibrations, dust, etc. Working hours must be flexible with the ability to work all shifts and extended hours as required. Equipment Used: Personal protective equipment. MSDS sheets. Hoist, hand cart, hand tools, measuring instruments, equipment operations manuals. Safety glasses, hearing protection.
