About The Position

The Production Coordinator at Conagra Brands is responsible for overseeing and coordinating production activities in a bakery plant during the 2nd shift. This role focuses on ensuring safety, training personnel, and collaborating with team members to improve production processes and efficiency. The coordinator will also assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a production, manufacturing, or distribution environment for 6+ months.
  • Previous member of a CPS Pillar or other Continuous Improvement team activities.
  • Experience in a food processing or packaging environment.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate safety behaviors to support company safety procedures with a focus on zero injuries.
  • Learn, understand, and train line personnel on Daily Management Systems (DMS).
  • Collaborate with other line CPS Coordinators and Pillar owners in the development and deployment of CPS and DMS work.
  • Assist supervisors, operators, and mechanics with equipment troubleshooting to keep equipment running.
  • Monitor, instruct, and teach CPS and other work systems to mechanics, providing coaching as needed.
  • Participate in improvement projects and teams, including 5S, SRC, BDAR, and Kaizen.
  • Guide 5S, housekeeping, and GMP practices related to tools, shop, equipment, and repairs.
  • Ensure team members take their lunches and breaks appropriately.
  • Attend necessary meetings and support activities in other areas and shifts.
  • Conduct line capability and loss studies for identified areas.
  • Facilitate training for assigned teams on main/FI methodology tools.
  • Coach new operators and provide refresher training to existing operators.
  • Ensure accurate downtime reporting within LEDs.
  • Create a bridge of understanding and cooperation between line personnel and maintenance.
  • Perform other tasks as required by the Team Leader.
