This position involves accurately assembling custom procedure trays, learning to identify medical components by description and vendor item number, and following assembly instructions to ensure the correct components and quantities are placed into the tray. The role requires visual inspection of components for defects and verification of conformance to specifications, reporting and/or rejecting defective components as per guidelines. Additionally, the position entails completing prep assemblies within a custom procedure tray and identifying the right wrap for the build, proceeding to wrap the tray according to the customer's specified sterile technique. Communication is key in this role, as it ensures that the Team Leader and set-up person are aligned before the job is set up, allowing for any special instructions to be provided as needed. The operator must ensure that three job orders are ready for the line at all times, verify the contents of the Device History Record, and make copies of assembly instructions. The operator is also responsible for verifying vendor ID and description of all components when arranging them sequentially on carts, ensuring at least one product is batch counted on the cart, and removing outer packaging from products when necessary. In terms of sealing, the operator must ensure that the sealing machine is properly calibrated and set to the correct settings, check for the correct header bag and proper insert labels, and seal packages to the proper specifications while completing necessary paperwork. The packaging operator must properly load and package products on the machine, inspect components for visible defects during the loading and packaging process, and rotate loading positions as required, all while adhering to SOPs, GMP, and ISO policies. This position may also involve performing additional duties as directed.
