We offer a guaranteed starting wage of $22.68/Hr. along with a $1/Hr. night shift differential, scheduled increases, and a complete benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, paid holidays, 401K, and so much more! Schedule 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 4:00pm-12:00am (midnight) Saturday hours may be possible on a required or voluntary basis.

Requirements

  • Experience in food/feed production, a plus
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to remain focused on equipment operation for extended periods of time
  • Accurately measure time with a stopwatch and complete basic math problems
  • Ability to perform duties independently and take ownership of the process
  • Effectively communicate with internal personnel including Receiving Operator and Press Operator
  • Accurately read and understand signs, labels, warnings, and directions
  • Work in a facility that processes pigs
  • Willingness and ability to work extra hours as needed during the week or weekend
  • Must be 18 years of age or older for insurance purposes

Responsibilities

  • Operate rendering and continuous cookers to load and process raw materials
  • Check if materials need further processing or if grease ingredients need to be added
  • Document cook times, temperature readings, and if/when grease was added
  • Clean out augers with a pitchfork, as needed
  • Assist Press Operator with acquiring materials, as requested
  • Shovel and dispose of poor-quality materials; use a pallet jack to empty totes
  • Sweep and wash the production floor and perform general housekeeping to maintain a clean work environment
  • Report any concerns, accidents, downtime, or cost-saving measures to Lead, as needed
  • Follow all company safety policies, practices, procedures, and improvement initiatives
  • Comply with all regulatory compliance requirements including environmental and food/feed safety
  • Maintain positive relationships with others and assist other production or maintenance personnel, as necessary
  • Maintain regular and predictable on-site attendance
