About The Position

Spring Glen Fresh Foods in Ephrata, PA is now seeking 1st Shift Production Cooks. We are offering great benefits, stable work shifts, and a clean/welcoming work environment. Work where you matter! Cooks are responsible for cooking and preparing ingredients for production.

Requirements

• Training and or experiences related to the job
• Must understand the technology of assigned equipment. manufacturing etc.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• The ability to attend work predictably and regularly and to be punctual.
• The ability to read and understand documents, drawings, and instructions (whether presented in written, oral, diagram or schedule form).
• The ability to work with mathematical concepts and to apply concepts to practical situations.
• The ability to work cooperatively with others.
• The ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and coworkers.
• The ability to perform several tasks at once.
• The ability to follow direction or instruction.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to common safety practices and rules: including wearing protective equipment and clothing as required.
• Cook and prepare ingredients for production as per work order instructions.
• Complete paperwork and record data on HCAAP forms.
• Must be able to physically lift up to 50 lbs. of ingredients to platform height.
• Properly dispose of waste materials.
• Report any product, questionable in quality, to the Supervisor and/or Quality Assurance person immediately.
• Always keep all areas clean and orderly.
• Adheres to plant hygiene regulations to ensure high product integrity.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Leadperson or Business Unit Manager.
• While the duties above generally describe the job content, not all duties are performed continually or regularly (i.e., daily, weekly, etc.). Duties performed are dependent upon the operation being supported.
