About The Position

Directs and coordinates activities in processing materials or manufacturing products; develops optimizes, coordinates and executes all processing-related activities of injection molding operations by performing the following duties personally and through subordinate supervisors. Production Control must have experience with Automotive Industry practices and standards.

High School diploma or GED with additional relevant formal education or equivalent experience is required.
3-5 years’ experience in Automotive manufacturing (scheduling, inventory control and/or use of ERP system) is required.
Proficient in Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
Must be able to position self to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Must have the ability to observe details at close range.

Nice To Haves

Understanding of EDI function and basic transactions is preferred.

Responsibilities

Schedule production and sample activity for multi-shot production.
Issues production job tickets according to schedule.
Develops, maintains and ensures the integrity of data in SYSPRO for multi-shot items.
Processes and maintains the MRP information and output, including BOM, Forecast, Routing, pricing and descriptions.
Works closely with Shipping and Quality to ensure that product is ready to meet the shipping schedule and communicate any changes or exceptions.
Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products and mold change activity.
Compiles, stores and retrieves production data. Prepare reports as directed by the Operations Manager.
Reviews production and operating reports, resolves manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs, efficient production and to prevent operational delays.
Expedites production as needed and communicates logistics information with customer.
Strives for continuous improvement in all aspects of production. Works closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering Services and all other relevant areas to achieve improvements.
Works with Engineering Services to ensure that labor standards in the Bill of Materials exists, are accurate and are periodically audited. Measures actual performance to standards.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing department goals.
Exhibits regular and predictable attendance.
Maintains clean and orderly work area.
Assures safe practices are implemented and followed.
