About The Position

The Production Control Supervisor leads the creation of action plans and manages efforts to achieve corporate and facility goals. This role involves teaching, coaching, and facilitating problem solving, project management, and the application of Autoliv Production System (APS) principles. The supervisor verifies that processes and standards are being followed and improved, and is responsible for the development, performance, and continuous improvement of all shifts of assigned cells/areas, which may include rotating shift assignments. Establishing roles, responsibilities, and expectations for team members is crucial, along with following up on performance. The supervisor works to improve the capability of team members through coaching, teaching, and appropriate tasking. Ensuring that associates are adequately trained, that work is performed in a safe and efficient manner/environment, and that safety incidents are thoroughly investigated with effective corrective actions is also a key responsibility. The supervisor aims to create a positive work environment and ensures that communication and feedback flow up, down, and across all levels and shifts/teams as needed. Additionally, the supervisor ensures adequate resources, including support personnel, are available and that customer standards are maintained. Monitoring daily operations of a unit (work team) and actively assisting or providing direction to team members as required, utilizing established policies and procedures, is part of the role. The supervisor maintains responsibility for human resources related activities, including employee relations, annual performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions, and handles employment issues where job action (such as formal discipline) may result, involving management and/or Human Resources as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Production Control Supervisor or similar role, with a solid background in manufacturing or production planning.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management and manufacturing principles, including Just-In-Time (JIT) production.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to make quick and effective decisions.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Experience in using production planning software and proficient in MS Office.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
