About The Position

HIROTEC Manufacturing America, located in Fayetteville, Tennessee, is part of the HIROTEC Group, headquartered in Hiroshima, Japan. HIROTEC Group delivers body-in-white closures, exhaust systems, flexible closure manufacturing, and tooling and stamping dies to automotive customers around the world. With a US headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI, HIROTEC Group operates 32 facilities in eight countries. Currently, we are seeking a Production Control Supervisor to become a part of the HIROTEC team.

Requirements

  • Ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree and two years supervisor experience in automotive/manufacturing environment.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and negotiation skills, in addition to proven computer skills required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with all levels of employees.
  • Strong organizational, teamwork, and leadership skills.
  • Must have a sound technical aptitude with a thorough understanding of stamping, automation, and manufacturing applications.
  • A willingness to travel and work weekends/holidays if necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates job orders, product specifications and operations sheets, parts and materials inventory lists, and machine and worker production rates to establish efficient allocation and scheduling of parts, materials, machines, and sequences of operations and workflow.
  • Determines equipment, materials, and staff needs to meet production schedule.
  • Maintaining optimum levels of inventory, avoiding excesses and/or shortages based on plan, to support Production Schedule, and to exceed customer expectations for on-time delivery.
  • Monitors and communicates Customer shipment status and support all departments to ensure shipments occur on time.
  • Assigns duties and examines work for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures and studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Confers with production personnel to resolve problems affecting production schedules.
  • Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates and reviews reports to identify and address equipment malfunctions, material shortages, and other errors/complaints.
  • Participate in and lead 5S, Quality, Safety, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing activities.
