About The Position

The position involves collaboration with Logistics Management, Production Management, and Supervision to develop schedules for raw materials and manpower, ensuring alignment with customer demand and resource capabilities. The role requires establishing and maintaining appropriate inventory levels for raw materials and finished goods to support customer demand and shipping schedules. Additionally, the position entails working closely with the Logistics Manager to create schedules for scrap material and to procure support based on inventory variances. The candidate will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining Kanban systems throughout the plants and warehouses.

Requirements

• Experience in logistics and production management.
• Strong analytical skills to investigate and resolve inventory variances.
• Knowledge of Kanban systems and inventory management.
• Familiarity with state and federal regulations, including OSHA and EPA compliance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.

Responsibilities

• Develop schedules for raw materials and manpower in conjunction with Logistics Management and Production Management.
• Establish and maintain inventory levels for raw materials and finished goods to support customer demand.
• Work with the Logistics Manager to develop schedules for scrap material.
• Procure support based on inventory variances in collaboration with the Logistics Manager.
• Establish and maintain Kanban systems throughout the plants and warehouses.
• Investigate and correct inventory variances, reporting results to Logistics, Operations, and Plant managers.
• Administer physical inventory duties, perform final variance analysis, and implement countermeasures for discrepancies.
• Develop short-term production plans based on customer shipment schedules.
• Create strategies for replenishing raw materials and supplies to support production.
• Maintain and initiate new part numbers in collaboration with Hutchinson Customers, QA Department, Logistics, and Production.
• Assist Engineering in maintaining accurate bill of materials.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including OSHA and EPA guidelines.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
