About The Position

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. Support the design, development, and fabrication of New Shepard vehicles alongside a small team of experts. You'll need strong communication and organization skills for this hands-on role. We are seeking someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required! Requirements

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the aerospace or high-tech industries
  • 5+ years planning & scheduling experience
  • Highly proficient in managing large sets of data in Excel
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve production issues
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Diligent with a focus on quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office suite of software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to balance multiple decisions based on workload dispersion, program priorities, and management and customer decisions

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, business, or other related field
  • Can read, run, and write SQL (Structured Query Language)
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (including Product Life Cycle Management, Manufacturing Execution System, and Material Requirements Planning)
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong math and analytical skills to solve problems
  • Experience in R&D environments

Responsibilities

  • Forecast part completion dates and work closely with manufacturing and production control to ensure work is prioritized appropriately through work centers
  • Prepare work orders to produce parts based on MRP, master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements
  • Monitor the flow/velocity of jobs through the production line and partner with Manufacturing/Operations to ensure work completes on time to schedule.
  • Query and analyze system data to support business goals
  • Develop business processes that allow team to quickly and effectively understand shortages and critical path
  • Support production metric development and initiatives to address any variances or quality issues
