As a Production Control Planner IV at PTI Technologies, you will play a vital role in overseeing the transport of production components and assemblies between the U.S. and Mexico, specifically focusing on the unique compliance and logistical requirements of a maquiladora operation. You will manage the entire lifecycle of international shipments, ensuring strict adherence to U.S. and Mexican import/export regulations, including the USMCA. Key responsibilities include resolving scheduling discrepancies, analyzing production specifications, and communicating effectively with various departments to ensure timely and compliant deliveries. You'll prepare essential documentation, coordinate logistics, and maintain optimal inventory levels through MRP systems, while actively supporting R&D initiatives. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying cost-saving opportunities and driving operational efficiency, making a significant impact in our fast-paced aerospace environment. Strong analytical skills are necessary for evaluating production specifications and logistics costs, while attention to detail is essential for maintaining documentation accuracy in audit-sensitive situations. Effective communication abilities are key for coordinating with cross-functional teams, and an understanding of cross-border material flows and customs compliance will help streamline operations.
